Holi was made more special this time in Hariyana Vidya Mandir school as the TV channel, Sangeet Bangla, decided to shoot their special episode of Holi there. There was a dance performance to the songs sung by students. This festival of colours was truly colourful for us.

Remembering Raman
To commemorate the discovery of Raman Effect by the legendary physicist C.V. Raman, the renewable energy club (REC) of the Heritage Institute of Technology organised a seminar on February 28 which also happened to be the National Science Day. REC was established in various government and non-government engineering colleges to create awareness about new and renewable sources of energy. The event started off with Swami Vedajuananda, co-ordinator, chanting Upanishad shlokas, believed to stir vibes from the winds. This was followed by the lighting of the lamps and an inaugural address by the guest-in-chief Prof. S.K.Sanyal, vice-chancellor, Jadavpur University.
Apart from that, final year students gave interesting insights into the fuel cell that would make cars run on water. T.K. Hazra, additional director WEBREDA, and the guest of honour lauded the presentations and laid emphasis on the exigency of employing bio-friendly and recyclable resources in our daily applications.
