Lilavati dispute

New Delhi, March 26 (PTI): The Supreme Court today appointed two senior doctors as administrators of Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital, stuck in a control feud between the Mehta brothers.

The bench appointed senior surgeons Narender Trivedi and K. Ramamurthy as the administrators and directed them to give reports every two weeks to the board of trustees till pendency of the case before a civil court in Mumbai.

Kishore Kirtilal Mehta, a trustee of the Lilavati Kirtilal Mehta Medical Trust that runs the hospital, had moved the apex court alleging that his elder brother Vijay had forged documents to take control of the facility.
