Dubai, April 1 (PTI): Minister of state for external affairs E. Ahamed fractured his ankle when he accidentally fell off the stage at a programme in Bahrain last night.

Ahamed (in picture), who was to return to Delhi after the programme at the Indian School at ISA Town, was taken to the Bahrain defence hospital, where X-rays detected the fracture, Indian ambassador Balakrishna Shetty said today.

The minister will be in the hospital for a few days.
