Abhilasha (the annual social of Deshbandhu College for Girls) was held on March 27, 2007 at Uttam Manch. Anusua Choudhury mesmerised the audience with her melodious voice while folk singer Utpalendu Choudhury made them dance to his songs. The students of the college entertained the audience by performing self-choreographed dance items on folk, western and Hindi chartbusters like Tere bin, Dhoom machale and others. The event ended with the Hindi rock band, Swastik, belting out pulsating numbers.
