I Think
Is the proposed Indian Cricket League feasible?

No, It is unlikely that the BCCI will tolerate a challenge to its monopoly. So we should assume that Zee’s version of Packer’s Circus will begin life as an insurgent league.

Tanu Mukherjee, Calcutta University

No, I don’t think the ICL is a feasible proposition, given the fact that such adventures thrive only in nations not bogged down by obscurantism and corruption.

Rajesh Beriwal, St Xaviers College

Yes. it would pose a challenge to the BCCI. And then, maybe, our cricketers will not take it that easy and concentrate on their game for a change.

Arpita Kaul, via e-mail

Of course. It would increase our talent pool and give us lots of choice when it comes to team selection.

Atif Khan, Durgapur

No, BCCI will not allow it to become feasible. It wants to be the only one to control the cricket cash-cow.
