World Book Day will be observed at National Library, 4.30 pm. Sukanta Chaudhuri and Subhadra Kumar Sen will take part in an interactive session.

Film show

Journey Beyond Three Seas by Vasily Pronin and Khwaja Ahmed Abbas, will be screened at Gorky Sadan, 6 pm. A retrospective of films by Rainer Werner Fassbinder, on the occasion of his 25th death anniversary, at Max Mueller Bhavan auditorium. Today: Satan’s Brew, 5 pm and Chinese Roulette, 7 pm.

Lenswork

An exhibition of photographs of Xinjiang, China, by Mala Mukherjee, at Akar Prakar, 3 pm to 8 pm.

Lecture

Gautam Kumar Das of Jadavpur University will speak on Safe Drinking Water for Rural Poor, at Max Mueller Bhavan, 7 pm.

Eye on art

An exhibition of paintings by various artists, at Chitrakoot Gallery, 3 pm to 8 pm. Life and Arts, sculptures, graphics, drawings and paintings by Somnath Hore, at Galerie 88, 3 pm to 7 pm.
