CMCL profit rises

Cement Manufacturing Company Ltd’s (CMCL) net profit jumped 311 per cent to Rs 86.82 crore from Rs 27.93 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal. The profit before tax rose to Rs 98.81 crore from Rs 31.15 crore, while the turnover increased 65.71 per cent to Rs 265.13 crore from Rs 159.99 crore in the previous fiscal. CMCL is a subsidiary of Century Plyboards (India) Ltd.

Monnet Ispat

Monnet Ispat and Energy Ltd has posted a 96 per cent rise in fourth-quarter net profit at Rs 42.79 crore compared with Rs 21.88 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year. The company has clocked a turnover of Rs 186.45 crore in the quarter against Rs 138.45 crore a year ago.

Uco Bank

Uco Bank has recently handed over an interim dividend cheque of Rs 59,93,60,000 to the finance minister. The bank’s total business in 2006-07 grew 21.47 per cent to Rs 112,400 crore. Deposits were at Rs 64,800 crore and advances at Rs 47,600 crore.

MRF move

MRF Ltd has selected SAP for automotive solutions. MRF has replaced its former applications with SAP ERP and SAP CRM solutions that are based on the SAP Netweaver platform.

Tulip IT

Tulip IT Services has posted a 20.24 per cent rise in its net profit at Rs 33.03 crore in the quarter ended March 31 compared with Rs 27.47 crore in the corresponding previous period. The firm reported revenues of Rs 293.10 crore in the quarter, a company statement said.
