The night of March 31, 2007, was a memorable one for all Navodayans as the head teachers and some selected students of Halifax Cluster (UK) visited the school as part of an international programme UKIERI (United Kingdom and India Educational Research Initiative).
There was a small reception party where the guests were garlanded by the students of our school and welcomed in the traditional style. We also got a chance to interact with them and learn more about their institution. The next night was as glamourous as it was colourful, as a cultural show depicting the rainbow culture and society of our state as well as of our country was organised in honour of the visitors. The Bihu dance of the Assamese, the Bamboo dance of the Mizos, the Mishing and Satriya dances were much appreciated by the audience.
