Calcutta: India are not participating in a academy tri-series that is now being played in Bangladesh. The academy teams of Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Bangladesh are involved in the meet that concludes on Monday.

Explaining India’s non-participation, joint secretary M.P. Pandove said: “In keeping with the BCCI’s policy, we don’t send our academy team for participation in tournaments abroad. The players are generally part of the India U-17, U-19 or A tours.”
