Ranadeb takes 3/56

Sporting Union restricted Calcutta Customs to 177 for six on Day I of the CAB League semi-final at Eden Gardens on Wednesday. Shantanu Roy (55) and Rudra Mukherjee (48) were the only batsmen among runs. Ranadeb Bose claimed three wickets.

MSCA in semis

Mainland Sambaran CA (MSCA) beat North Howrah CCC by eight wickets to enter the semi-finals of the Ambar Roy Sub-Junior (95 points) Cricket tournament on Wednesday. The winners bowled out North Howrah for 78 before reaching the target in 19.5 overs. MSCA will now play Naihati CC in the semis.

BRIEF SCORES — North Howrah CCC 78 in 28.3 ovs (Souvik Dutta 4/7, Sumil Sarkar 3/15). MSCA 79/2 in 19.5 ovs (Rudrajit Burman 34 n.o., Subhrajit Das 20 n.o.). MSCA won by 8 wkts.

Age-group meet

The Bengal Amateur Swimming Association will host the State Age-Group Swimming Championships from June 1-4 at the Subhas Sarobar. The diving events will be held on June 9 and 10.
