DLF issue price

Mumbai, June 15: DLF today fixed the issue price for its initial public offering at Rs 525 a share. The company mopped up Rs 9,187.5 crore. The company, which received bids for more than three times the 17.5 crore shares on offer, had fixed the price band of the issue at Rs 500-550 a share. At the upper band, it could have raised Rs 9,625 crore.

Inflation down

New Delhi, June 15: The rate of inflation eased to 4.80 per cent for the week ended June 2 against 4.85 per cent in the previous week, mainly due to a decline in the prices of food articles and some fuel and manufactured items.

FM plan

New Delhi, June 15: The government will soon start using foreign exchange reserves for improving the country’s infrastructure by creating a company for the purpose within the next three months, finance minister P. Chidambaram said today.

Sesa offer

Mumbai, June 15: Vedanta Resources, which acquired a 51 per cent stake in Sesa Goa, has deferred its open offer for a further 20 per cent stake in the leading iron ore exporter.

Forex reserves

Mumbai, June 15: India’s forex reserves increased by $1.174 billion for the week ended June 8 to $209.574 billion against $208.373 billion during the week ended June 1.
