Pak take 2-1 lead over India

Karachi: Pakistan defeated India in the third test of the eight-match volleyball series in Peshawar, thus taking a 2-1 lead in the series after winning the one-hour-and-55-minute affair Saturday.

India started off well, winning the first set 25-22. They also led the second set at one stage, but aggressive display from Naseer Ahmad and Kashif Mansoor settled the issue for Pakistan 26-24. The hosts clinched the third set 25-22, and sealed the issue by winning the fourth 25-20.

The fourth and final match of the first leg will be played in Lahore on Monday.
