Fake MP

New Delhi, July 2: The CBI today trapped an imposter who marched in to meet the agency’s top boss after posing as a member of Parliament.

Pramod Kumar Chaudhary walked into the CBI headquarters at 4.30pm, introduced himself as an MP at the reception and informed that he had an appointment with director Vijay Shankar.

He entered his name in the visitors’ book and was given a pass. An attendant escorted the “MP” to the office on the fourth floor. But then the director’s personal staff asked him to prove his identity, which he failed to do.

The CBI immediately handed him over to police.

Chaudhary wanted to get a berth in the Rajya Sabha and had been told that the CBI director could help.
