Nagaon, July 2: Reunion Society defeated Klirdap Club by a convincing margin of 3-0 in a super league match of the Greater Diphu Sports Association Football League held at Diphu Government Boys’ HS School playground today.

The second match of the day between Samson Sing Ingti Club and Wide Angle Society held at the same venue was drawn 2-2.

Ibon Teron’s substitute Sarthang Hanse scored the third and final goal for Reunion in the 49th minute of the match.

Reunion player Klimson received the yellow card in the 40th minute of the match.

Weak defence and poor performance by the strikers were the main reasons behind Klirdap’s pitiable defeat to Reunion in today’s super league match.

In the second match of the day, Wide Angle captain Langtuk Tokbi drew first blood, scoring the first goal nine minutes into the game. Samson Sing captain Gobin Ingti equalised for his team by scoring from a penalty shot.

Anand Bey scored the second goal for Wide Angle in the 44th minute.
