Big win for WB Police

WB Police routed Indian Airforce (BKP) 5-0 in a group H match of the Trades Cup at the Barasat stadium. Sankar Sil (3) and Kishore Mullick (2) were the scorers.

In a group I match at Barrackpore, Police AC notched up a contrasting win, edging past Aryan Club 3-2.

Barun Dana (2) and Sheikh Habib Ali found the nets for Police AC while Somnath Chakraborty scored a brace for the losers.

George Telegraph, Eastern Railway, Chirag United and Railway FC emerged champions in their respective H, I, J and K groups.

Coaches meet

The IFA coaches committee met on Monday to discuss the upgrading of training centres across the state.

It has been learnt that the association is planning to send coaches to oversee faraway centres round the year.
