Dairy plan

Calcutta, July 28: The Haringhata, Durgapur, Burdwan and Cen-tral dairies would be revived, the animal re-sources minister told the Assembly. The government will enter into a joint venture in Burdwan and Durgapur. Haringhata and Central, in the city, would be merged and run as a new entity.

Peace talks

Calcutta: Left Front chief Biman Bose said the government was making efforts to call an all-party meeting at the district level to restore normality in Nandigram.

Heroin couple
