Forex kitty rises

Mumbai, July 28: India’s forex reserves increased by $3.08 billion for the week ended July 20 to $222.04 billion from $218.95 billion during the previous week. The reserves had increased by $4.12 billion during the week ended July 13. Foreign currency assets increased by $3.08 billion to $214.79 billion during the week. Foreign currency assets in dollars include the effect of revaluation of non-US currencies such as euro, sterling and yen held in reserves.

Grasim net

Mumbai, July 28: Grasim Industries has registered a 64.04 per cent jump in net profit at Rs 511.66 crore for the quarter ended June 30 against Rs 311.90 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year.

Moser Baer

Mumbai, July 28: Moser Baer India today posted a 48.99 per cent increase in net profit at Rs 9.64 crore for the first quarter ended June 30 against Rs 6.47 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2006.

BoR profit

Mumbai, July 28: Bank of Rajasthan (BoR) has recorded a 50.55 per cent jump in net profit at Rs 30.17 crore for the first Rs 20.04 crore a year ago. Total income stood at Rs 27,350 crore against Rs 18,260 crore.

Ramco

Chennai, July 28: Ramco Systems posted a global revenue of 13 per cent for the first quarter this year. The company has registered a net profit of $0.07 million compared with a net loss of $1.24 million a year ago.
