Timex growth plan

Timex is in talks with Reliance Retail as part of its plans to expand its distribution network in the country. The company plans to more than double its branded outlets by the end of this fiscal. The company aims to increase the number of its outlets, Time Factory Stores, to 100 by the end of this year from 44 now at an investment of Rs 11 crore. The company will have a presence in Reliance Retail’s first outlet in Ahmedabad.

Balmer Lawrie

Balmer Lawrie & Co has reported a 16 per cent rise in turnover at Rs 363 crore for the quarter ended June 30 compared with Rs 313 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. The profit before tax increased 13 per cent at Rs 30.50 crore compared with Rs 26.90 crore in the year-ago period.

Core Projects

Core Projects and Technologies Ltd has clocked a consolidated net profit of Rs 12.92 crore for the quarter ended June 30 compared with Rs 4.97 crore a year ago. Consolidated income was at Rs 61.57 crore against Rs 29.08 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

Titan profit

Titan Industries has reported a net profit of Rs 12.64 crore for the quarter ended June 30. Income from operations rose to Rs 666.59 crore from Rs 449.92 crore during the corresponding period of the previous year The profit before tax increased nearly five times to Rs 25.36 crore from Rs 5.26 crore last year.

Sutlej net

Sutlej Textiles and Industries has recorded a 15 per cent increase in its turnover for the quarter ended June 30 at Rs 195.16 crore compared with Rs 169.40 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. The net profit was at Rs 5.86 crore.

Tata Elxsi

Bangalore-based Tata Elxsi Ltd has posted a 12 per cent rise in profit after tax at Rs 12.10 crore for the quarter ended June 30. Total income for the quarter rose 46 per cent to Rs 92.72 crore.

R-Com tieup

Reliance Communications and Yatra.com have launched a mobile service to provide hotel and air ticket bookings to Reliance handset users. The service can be accessed through a user-friendly interface of Reliance Mobile World.

FCG move

Software services and healthcare IT company FCG India has tied up with Massachusetts-based InterSystems Corporation to provide integration and business process management solutions to hospitals, public and research health networks in India.

Indian Hotels

Indian Hotels Company has inked a management contract with Paranjpe Schemes Construction for a Gateway Hotel In Hinjewadi, Pune.
