New Delhi: Pistol shooter Harveen Srao created a sensation on Friday when she beat the reigning Athens Olympics gold medallist Olena Kostevych of Ukraine in the World University Championships in Bangkok .
Harveen also became the first Indian shooter to win a gold medal in the World University meet.
The Chandigarh based student created a meet record in the 10m air pistol with a score of 388 out of 400 in the preliminary rounds and 98.1 in the finals to aggregate 486.1.
