REGIONAL MATHEMATICAL OLYMPIAD (RMP), 2007

SUBJECT: The Regional Mathematical Olympiad (RMP), 2007, will be held on October 7, 2007. The six best students will be selected for the Indian National Mathematical Olympiad (INMO) to be held on January 20, 2008.

ELIGIBILITY: Students of Class VIII to XII can appear for the RMO.

PARTICULARS: There is no application form. Apply on plain paper (preferably forwarded by a teacher or at least, with the school stamp) giving (in block letters) your name, mailing address with phone number, class, name and postal address of the school, and the centre you prefer. Test centres are located at Berhampore, Burdwan, Calcutta, Kharagpur, Purulia, Santiniketan and Siliguri.

Each completed application form should be accompanied by a self-addressed 12” x 6” size stamped envelope (worth Rs 20) and a demand draft of Rs 60, drawn in favour of the Indian Statistical Institute, Calcutta, on any nationalised bank in Calcutta. SUBJECT: The university invites applications for its full-time postgraduate diploma course in stem cell technology and tissue engineering, which is offered in collaboration with the International Centre for Cadio-thoracic and Vascular Diseases, a unit of Frontier Lifeline Pvt. Ltd, Chennai.

ELIGIBILITY: Applicants should have a masters degree in life sciences / zoology / biochemistry / biotechnology / microbiology, or an MBBS / BDS / BVSc degree.

ELIGIBILITY: Applicants for the BBA, hospitality & tourism management and short-term retail management courses should have passed / taken their Plus Two examinations and applicants for the MBA and the MBA in retail management courses should be graduates.

PARTICULARS: Application forms can be obtained from the institute’s office in Calcutta for Rs 300. Very few seats are available.
