BSNL deal for TCS
Mumbai, Aug. 30: Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has bagged a Rs 574-crore multi-year deal from BSNL. TCS will provide services that will transform BSNL’s existing processes into convergent billing system. TCS will set up complex data networks across bsnl’s circles in north and west India. It will also deploy operational support systems and business support systems, comprising customer relationship management, billing, mediation and directory enquiry.
Mallya move
Mumbai, Aug. 30: Vijay Mallya is looking to raise fares at the two airlines he controls —Kingfisher Airlines and Air Deccan. “There will be a hike in air fares some time soon. Air Deccan will also have to raise fares to earn profits,” Mallya said. The UB group today announced an advertisement commitment to NDTV’s forthcoming lifestyle channel, NDTV Good Times.
Apollo buy
Chennai, Aug. 30: Apollo Health Street, a global healthcare outsourcing arm of the Apollo group, has acquired Atlanta-based bpo and enterprise support solutions company Zavata Inc for Rs 697 crore.
Bajaj dispute
New Delhi, Aug. 30: The legal feud between the Bajaj brothers — Rahul and Shishir — over division of the group seems to be heading for an out-of-court settlement as both the sides today sought another day from the company law board to hammer out a deal.
dlf tieup
Mumbai, Aug. 30: dlf has tied up with Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts to operate a luxury hotel at dlf Golf Links in Gurgaon. dlf Hotels has signed an agreement with Four Seasons for the 230-room hotel in Gurgaon.

New Delhi, Aug. 30: India is sending a team to Geneva where talks on the latest proposals on agriculture subsidy and market access will resume on September 3.
