New Delhi, Aug. 30 (PTI): A Samajwadi Party member today told the Lok Sabha that he was a chain smoker but was still healthy.

“I am a chain smoker.... I smoke bidi, cigarette, but am healthy,” Shyam Chandra Gupt said as the House discussed amendments to a law on advertisements and trade of tobacco and tobacco products.

His comments drew a strong response from the RJD’s Ram Kripal Yadav, who said: “He is, in fact, inviting people — come and chew tobacco, have ganja. Are you a bidi-maker?”
