| Celebration of nature |
|
Dedicated to espouse the cause of environment conservation, Society for Environment, Nature and Sustainable Ecosystems (SENSE) hosts Tales from the Woods - II, an exhibition of photographs celebrating nature and wildlife. Showcasing around 60 images, including some donated to SENSE by eminent photographers, the show is being held to generate public awareness on the importance of nurturing and protecting wildlife and natural resources. Also featuring audio-visual presentations (at 5 pm, 6 pm & 7 pm) on ‘bio-diversity of West Bengal’, it encourages documentation of bio-diversity through photographs. Participants: Debal Sen, Sabyasachi Chakraborty. V.K. Yadav, Partha Sen and Heerak Nandy. Participating photographers will be present during the exhibition, interacting with visitors and sharing with them their experiences.

ALBUM LAUNCH
September 3 at Press Club; 4 pm: Madhur Dhwani hosts the release of an audio CD (produced by Raga Music) of Tarun Goswami’s whistling-singing of 11 popular songs from Bengali feature films, starring Uttam Kumar. The release ceremony will be followed by a brief demonstration by Goswami.
