Pantaloon Retail issue
Pantaloon Retail India Ltd has received shareholders’ approval to raise Rs 1,260 crore through the issue of preferential shares and warrants. The company will issue 2.12 crore warrants at Rs 500 each aggregating to Rs 1,060 crore to the promoter group, Pantaloon Welfare Trust and select employees of the company. The warrant holders will have an option to acquire the same number of shares in one or more tranches within 18 months from the date of the issue. It will also issue 40 lakh shares of Rs 2 each at a premium of Rs 498 to private investors.
Accenture
Accenture and Bristol-Myers Squibb have launched a joint centre for pharmacovigilance in Chennai. Pharmacovigilance is the science relating to the detection, assessment, understanding and prevention of adverse effects of medicines. The centre will employ more than 140 Accenture employees.
Energy meet
A delegation on renewable energy from Germany’s North Rhein Westfalia will visit the city on September 28 to showcase its technology to local companies. The seminar will be jointly organised by the West Bengal Renewable Energy Development Agency and the International Technology Cooperation Network.
Brigade move
Brigade Enterprises Ltd, a Bangalore-based real estate company, has filed its draft red herring prospectus with Sebi. The company proposes to issue 16,624,720 shares of Rs 10 each to be decided through a 100 per cent book-building process.

LG Electronics has launched Ultra Slim Television-Black Iris. It is 30 per cent slimmer and has depth of 390mm.
