What: Organic food festival.

Where: Fabindia, Woodburn Park.

When: Friday.

Big bite: The delicious and healthy spread included corn salad, pasta, a fruit delight made with muesli, Coconut Barfi and more. Made with ingredients from Fabindia’s range of organic food items, the oil-free preparations had been cooked by Fabindia employees. Organic products were blended with fresh vegetables to rustle up the organic fare on offer. Every guest was welcome to sample the dishes and learn more about organic food.

“The customers were very interested in sampling the preparations,” said Tamanna Guha Rai, merchandiser for the store. The range of organic food includes teas, chutneys, seasonings, pickles, marmalades, crushes, snacks, butter and honey. The products contain no chemicals or preservatives.

Pocket pinch: The organic food products are priced between Rs 30 and Rs 200.

Voiceover: “Fabindia has been selling organic food products for a long time. The event was to promote the use of organic food and build awareness about the advantages of having chemical-free food,” said Tamanna.
