GNFC sales rise

Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers Company (GNFC) has recorded sales of Rs 1,812.27 crore in the half year ended September 30 against Rs 1,188.65 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal. Profit before tax for the second quarter ended September 30 rose to Rs 183.33 crore from Rs 109.92 crore in the previous fiscal. The company clocked sales of Rs 1,192.19 crore in the quarter against Rs 727.8 crore a year ago.

Shree Cement

Shree Cement clocked a net profit of Rs 106.23 crore in the second quarter of this fiscal against Rs 77.8 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal. Net sales were at Rs 466.39 crore in the reporting period compared with 316.04 crore a year ago.

Sanghvi net

Sanghvi Movers Ltd has posted a net profit of Rs 16.75 crore in the quarter ended September 30 against Rs 13.1 crore in the corresponding period of the previous financial year. Net sales rose to Rs 57.26 crore from Rs 47.34 crore a year ago.

Greenply

Greenply Industries has clocked a net profit of Rs 11.19 crore in the second quarter of this fiscal compared with Rs 4.75 crore a year ago. The company’s net revenues in the period stood at Rs 135.63 crore in the quarter against Rs 97.2 crore in the corresponding quarter a year ago.

Orbit Corp

Orbit Corporation Ltd has posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 39.89 crore for the second quarter ended September 30. Total revenues stood at Rs 97.55 crore. On a standalone basis, the company’s half-yearly revenues stood at Rs 58.3 crore.

Jain PAT

Jain Irrigation has posted a profit after tax of Rs 30 crore in the second quarter of this fiscal against Rs 16.26 crore in the year-ago period. Net sales have increased to Rs 329.26 crore from Rs 226.34 crore.

Vodafone offer

Vodafone Essar has introduced validity extension for its prepaid customers. Subscribers recharging with Rs 99 can carry over the unused validity period to the successive recharge. They will also have full talktime on the subsequent recharges.

Thermax pact

Thermax Ltd and German company Balcke-Dürr GmbH have signed a technical knowhow transfer and licence agreement for dry and wet elastic precipitators (ESP). ESPs are air pollution control equipment for power, industrial and utility segments of up to 300MW.

IBM India

IBM India recorded a market share of 23.7 per cent in the external storage segment with a year-on-year revenue growth of 20.8 per cent in the second quarter of this fiscal. The company also has a 58.5 per cent share of the high-end external storage market in terms of factory revenue.
