Abuse tutor

Panaji, Oct. 27 (PTI): A 35-year-old woman was arrested for allegedly sexually abusing a minor boy in her tuition class in south Goa’s Colva village near here, police said today.

The mother of the nine-year-old victim lodged a complaint against Connie Silva on October 23. Silva’s bail application to the children’s court was rejected yesterday.

Street clash

Lucknow (PTI): Mobs from two communities fought with stones and bricks on Friday night while a religious procession was passing through the Bazar Khala area of Lucknow, police said.A group of drunken youths allegedly sparked the clash by raising provocative slogans.

Bomb hoaxes

Chennai (PTI): Two bomb hoaxes have been received here since Friday. Searches yielded nothing at the Olympia Tech Park in Guindy and the Mambalam railway station, police said.
