My favourite outfit: It depends on my mood, but generally I love wearing skirts of different kinds — short, long, gherewalla, denims, cottons etc. I find skirts very comfortable as they are easy to move in.
My favourite outfit when going shopping or for lunch: Jeans and a sporty Tee.
My favourite outfit for an evening out: I hate dressing up for movies, I go dressed very casually in simple jeans or cargo pants. For dinners, a skirt is absolutely fine even if I am going to a nice place, because skirts can be formal as well as casual. I like to match it with a dressy top — a formal spaghetti or a halter top. I also like wearing a one-piece frock.
My favourite outfit for a formal occasion: I love wearing saris or salwar suits. I feel women look the sexiest in saris. I have loads of saris. A sari can look glamorous when worn with a sexy bustier blouse or a halter blouse. I like wearing transparent saris like net and chiffons. The fabric should be soft; it should fall well and give your body a good shape.
At night I sleep in: Shorts.
My favourite designers: I am not a designer person. I have never worn a Manish Malhotra creation but I love his style. Basically, I am a very casual person. I buy my saris from Jaipur as I am from Rajasthan.
In Mumbai I shop at: InOrbit mall or from shops in Bandra. At InOrbit, you get everything from clothes to shoes to bags to cosmetics; both branded and non-branded. Designer stuff (or lack of it) doesnt make a big difference to my wardrobe.
My favourite colours: Turquoise blue and red. For parties, I generally wear a black and white combo.
I have a fetish for: All girlie things, shoes for instance. I have loads of footwear. When I went to Pakistan, I bought 20 pairs of shoes. I bought shoes in all colours. The problem with me is that despite having so many clothes and shoes, I keep repeating my old ones till they wear out. I find it difficult to part with things and people.
My favourite accessory: My silver waist belt. I always wear it. I am not a jewellery person, I prefer watches.
In bags I like: Gucci.
I love sporting: Glares. I always wear branded glares as eyes are a delicate matter. I have a nice pair of Polaroid glares.
My wardrobe is incomplete without: A nice pair of white pants.
The outfit that suits me best: Saris and lehengas.
My favourite shopping place abroad: Malaysia. Switzerland is good but there one can shop only for exclusive stuff. I went crazy shopping in Karachi for salwar kameezes.
According to me, the best-dressed men in the industry are: Salman Khan and Abhishek Bachchan.
According to me, the best-dressed woman in the industry is: Preity Zinta, I like her style of dressing.
I like my man to be dressed in: If its a ballroom party I would like to see him in a black suit as I feel men really look the best in black. If its a casual occasion I would like him to sport a white shirt with blue denim jeans — its the classiest combination.
The most expensive outfit I have ever bought: A lehenga from Seasons for Rs 22,000. I dont like to spend too much money on my clothes because a celebrity cant repeat her outfits. Its a sheer waste of money and I dont like to throw away my hard-earned money.
My hair care routine: I try and oil my hair once a week, and wash my hair every alternate day.
The texture of my hair: Pretty soft and wavy.
The length of my hair: Below my shoulder.
My hairstylist: Anees.
My hairstyle at home: I just like to just twist my hair upwards and clip it up, I find it very comfortable.
My hairstyle when I go out: I like to leave my hair loose.
My make-up funda: When I am not shooting, I dont wear any make-up… not even lip gloss.
The feature I like to conceal: None. But if I get pimples, I would like to conceal them. I am very thankful to God that I have a decent face.
The feature I like to highlight: My eyes.
My favourite shades in lipsticks: I like light pink gloss or peach, all nude shades. I like the Revlon shades.
My make-up tip: Less is more, according to me. |
