SUBJECT: The university invites applications for admission to its MBA in finance programme.

ELIGIBILITY: Only CAT 2007 and MAT (December 2007) examinees are eligible to apply for admission.

PARTICULARS: Application forms can be obtained from the university’s sales counter between 11 am and 3 pm on the payment of Rs 600 in cash.

SUBJECT: Applications are invited for admission to the diploma programme in retail administration and management and the certificate courses in retail sales and retail management.

The diploma programme in retail administration includes one year of classroom training and three months of internship with a retail outlet. This programme provides a 100 per cent job guarantee in writing. The certificate courses include one month of classroom training and two months of internship at a retail outlet.

ELIGIBILITY: Applicants for admission to the diploma programme in retail administration and management and the certificate course in retail management should have passed Plus Two. Those who wish to enrol in the certificate course in retail sales should have passed Class X.

INDIAN INSTITUTES OF TECHNOLOGY (IIT) JOINT ENTRANCE EXAMINATION 2008

Last date for submission of application forms is January 4, 2008

SUBJECT: Applications are invited for admission to the undergraduate courses at the IITs located in Mumbai, New Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Chennai and Roorkee, the Institute of Technology at Banaras Hindu University (IT-BHU), Varanasi, and the Indian School of Mines University (ISMU), Dhanbad, through the joint entrance examination (JEE) 2008.

ELIGIBILITY: Anyone whose date of birth falls on or after October 1, 1983, and who has passed Plus Two with 60 per cent or more or who is going to take the Plus Two examination in 2008 is eligible to take the JEE 2008.

PARTICULARS: Application material can be obtained by sending a demand draft along with two self-addressed slips to the “Chairman, JEE”, IIT Kharagpur, Kharagpur-721302. The demand draft should be drawn on any nationalised bank in favour of the Chairman, JEE, and should be worth Rs 500 (for SC / ST / females) or Rs 1,000 (others), payable at Kharagpur. Applications can also be downloaded from www.iitkgp.ernet.in/jee or bought from designated Canara Bank branches in areas included in the IIT Kharagpur zone.
