Not that people of Bengal need an excuse to pack up and set off, but if they are looking for directions, this show can give them ideas. Patricia Schultzs best-selling travel guide 1000 Places to See Before You Die may be prohibitively priced for many here, but Discovery Travel & Living has created a show with the same name where a young couple put their lives on hold to see the world, using the book as their primary guide.
Newly-weds Albin and Melanie Ulle travel across 13 countries, discovering hole-in-the-wall favourites like the colourful Peruvian restaurant Songoro Casongo. Through Albin and Melanie, the viewer experiences every location first-hand. Local experts are continually consulted for travel tips and history.
