Mystery cat

A 12-year-old norwegian forest cat has left his owner rather confused with his bizarre activities. Sgt Podge, the cat, vanishes every night from his owner’s house in Bournemouth, UK, only to be found every morning at a fixed time and place, waiting to be picked up by his owner, Ms Bullard. This strange practice began earlier this year. One night, Sgt Podge simply disappeared. He was found the following morning, about 2.4 km from Ms Bullard’s residence. At present, it has become a daily affair for Ms Bullard to fetch her cat after she has dropped her son to school. She does this even on weekends and holidays. The reason for Sgt Podge’s intriguing behaviour is still a mystery, although his owner said that a woman living in the vicinity used to treat him to sardines. Now, that smells fishy!

Cavernous school

There’s nothing unusual about the Middle Cave School except that it is housed in a gigantic mountain cave. The school, in Getu village, in China’s Guizhou province started out with just one class. It now has eight teachers and 186 students. The school has classrooms and a playground, but most buildings don’t have roofs, as they are unnecessary, said the school principal.
