The first thing I have in the morning:
Is a glass-and-a-half of water straight from the bottle. I feel really thirsty when I wake up in the morning. Then, I have a healthy breakfast comprising toast and cereals. If I wake up early, I have only a banana before going to the gym as I cant exercise after a heavy breakfast.
I am particular about:
Eating healthy. In non-vegetarian food, I eat white meat like chicken and fish. But I am not fussy; I can eat anything and everything from dal chawal to sushi.
My lunch:
If I am shooting, I try and eat as healthy as I can. I order a light lunch from outside — either a Chinese soup or noodles/tandoori chicken or kebabs.
My evening snack:
I have a cup of tea along with some biscuits or a toasted sandwich or some fruits. On shoots, I carry water and fruits from home in my ice box.
My dinner:
Is a proper meal of rice, roti and dal. Vegetables and fried fish/chicken or fish curry are optional. I like to have a big dinner.
My favourite desserts:
I really dont crave for sweets but if some dessert has been made at home, I like to have a bite. I love everything in desserts, from gulab jamun to cake.
I dont eat:
I relish karelas too in spite of them being bitter. But I wouldnt eat snake or frog or any weird meat.
A childhood memory associated with food:
My school canteen was famous for its samosa.
My Sunday lunch:
Sometimes we make idlis or appam or some sabzi with puri. Sometimes we call for food from Crepe Station.
In foodstuff, I like buying:
Ready-to-eat meals that are ready in a jiffy — they just need to be microwaved.
My culinary habits:
I make good vegetarian, chicken and prawn pasta. Cooking, I think, runs in the family. My brother makes very good pasta and great Mediterranean food. My dad makes excellent pasta. My mom cooks very good Kerala fish curry and Goan prawn curry; in fact she is excellent at making any fish dish.
My favourite cuisine:
Japanese, Italian and Indian cuisines.
My favourite beverage:
Fresh fruit juice.
I love eating:
Cheese. Cheese souffle also makes my mouth water.
My idea of a romantic meal:
There should be a really cool, dimly lit place with candles. Some good pasta and a fantastic chocolate dessert. |
