Gibbs steers SA to victory

Cape Town: Herschelle Gibbs smashed a brilliant century to propel South Africa to a one-day series win over New Zealand on Sunday.

South Africa won the third and final match by five wickets to claim the rubber 2-1.

New Zealand totalled 238 for eight after winning the toss and choosing to bat. South Africa replied with 242 for five to win with 28 balls to spare.

Gibbs scored a masterful 119 off 101 balls with 10 fours and seven sixes.
