The-207 run partnership between Misbah-ul Haq and Kamran Akmal rewrote a few records, some of them are:

On 90, they bettered the sixth wicket partnership for Pakistan on Indian soil. Javed Miandad and Wasim Raja had put on 89 in Chepauk (1979-80)

On 100, they registered the fourth 100-plus stand for Pakistan in 2007

On 196, their partnership became the best for the sixth wicket at the Eden. The previous best was 195 by West Indians Shivnarine Chanderpaul and Marlon Samuels (2002-03)

On 200, they stitched the sixth double hundred stand by Pakistan in Tests. The visitors’ highest sixth-wicket partnership in a Test is 269 (Mohammed Yousuf and Kamran Akmal) versus England at Lahore (2005-05)

On 207, the partnership equalled the best sixth wicket partnership for Pakistan versus India in Tests. Salim Malik and Imran Khan had also put on 207 versus India in Faisalabad (1982-83)

Kamran Akmal crossed the 600-run milestone against India in Tests. He now has 667 runs @ 47.64 from 10 Tests versus India with three hundreds and one fifty

On 83, Misbah-ul Haq (108 batting) recorded his best Test score. His previous highest was 82 at the Kotla

He also registered his maiden Test century

Kamran Akmal scored his fifth Test century. Four of his five hundreds have come against India. He now has the most centuries in Tests by any Pakistan ’keeper. He went past Moin Khan, who has four. He now also has the most number of centuries by any ’keeper in Tests against India. Zimbabwean Andy Flower has three

He is only the second ’keeper to score a 100 at Eden Gardens. The only other ’keeper to do so is West Indian Clyde Walcott (108 — 1948-49)
