Patna, Dec. 17: Patna police today declared that Shivshankar Kumar (14), who was “kidnapped” yesterday, was found dead today.

Shivshanker, a student of Class VIII, went missing, while on his way to Kerodarpur from Kevlatand. His body was recovered from a riverine area of Ganga in Khusrupur in the district, late last night.

According to an FIR filed by Shivshanker’s father, Kailash Prasad, the kidnappers had demanded a ransom of Rs 5 lakh for his release. Police have launched a hunt to arrest the culprits.
