TELL ME WHY

Why do turtles and tortoises live so long? They manage to live to a hundred to even 120 years because the important parts of their bodies do not become weak with age, as is the case with most other animals. In fact, they continue to grow very, very slowly for as long as they live. Moreover, their body does not need much energy to survive. They can live for long periods without water or food.
