Kalyan Mitra for IPL curators’ meeting

Eden curator Kalyan Mitra will attend a two-day meeting with his Adelaide counterpart, Les Burdett, in Mohali on March 11 and 12. The meeting, organised by I.S. Bindra, chairman of the IPL infrastructure committee, is aimed at giving Indian curators first-hand experience of preparing international-standard pitches for the inaugural IPL. Curators from all BCCI-affiliated units will take part.

Mamta in lead

Mamta Bhargava shot into the lead with a nett 67 followed by Mary Bhattacharya with 69 on Day I of the 27th Taj Bengal Trophy at the Tollygunge Club Tuesday. Tara Halwasiya and Sonia Barman are close behind with nett 70.

Football meet

The 21st All India postal football meet will be held at the SAI, Eastern Centre, complex from Thursday-Monday. Department of posts from all over the country will take part in the event.

Sports meet

More than 500 deprived children will take part in a sports meet organised by the Sarva Shiksha Mission at the East Bengal Club ground Friday.
