The journalism and mass communication department of Mrinalini Dutta College organised a day-long educational trip to the Satyajit Ray Film & Television Institute and to two of Tollygunj’s studios.
The students were allowed to take a sneak peek into the world that has fascinated them since their childhood.
The on-going shooting sessions at the Technician Studio (Jhoom tara ra ra juti) and NT1 studio (Andar Mahal) gave students a chance to closely observe the techniques and efforts that the entire crew puts in to present every single episode. Though students realised that it was a lot of hard work and sometimes even tiresome, they couldn’t but agree that it was a beautiful craft and worth the sweat.
On the other hand, SRFTI introduced them to the interesting procedures that follows once the shoot is complete — a highly sensitive process that demands accuracy, determination, patience and most importantly, creativity.
It was an interesting trip for the students who seek a future in this field. The day long journey met its climax with some mouth watering delicacies and lively music.
