Nestlé net jumps

New Delhi, March 4: Nestlé India has posted a net profit of Rs 413.81 crore for the financial year ended December 31, 2007, against Rs 315.10 crore a year ago, a rise of 31.3 per cent.

Total income stood at Rs 3,529.79 crore compared with Rs 2,836.67 crore a year ago. The company’s sales stood at Rs 3,504.35 crore.

“In the past three years we have delivered a double-digit profitable growth in 10 quarters, and in the last year over 20 per cent growth in each quarter,” said Martial Rolland, chairman and managing director of Nestlé India.

Nestlé’s net profit in the fourth quarter ended December 31 increased 49.87 per cent to Rs 93.61 crore from Rs 62.46 crore in the year-ago period, the company said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
