Lucknow, April 24: The son of junior Union home minister Sriprakash Jaiswal and 17 others have been named in FIRs filed by the Mayavati government today for allegedly occupying land that belongs to the Kanpur Development Authority. Kanpur police chief A.K. Singh said Siddharth Jaiswal and his associates were illegally occupying the authority’s open plots in the Mawiya and Wajidpur areas of the city. He said many of the plots measured over 1.2 lakh square metres and that some of those named in the FIR were relatives of a Samajwadi Party MLA.
