Red hot

Hey, I put some new shoes on and suddenly everything is right.” We will happily sing along to Paolo Nutini’s New Shoes, featured in Puma’s new commercial, because soon after launching USAN, the sportswear brand’s newest collection, Sourav Ganguly led his Kolkata Knight Riders to victory.

The collection, unveiled on Wednesday at the Puma Store in South City Mall, is just right for those who want the comfort of sports shoes with a more chic look. These shoes look cool without an external mid-sole and with subtle detailing. The line comes in four colour themes — white and blue, black and white, white-rose-smoke and an all-white. They also have heel traction pods for added support and grip.

Dada was pretty impressed too. As he strolled around the store in a red Puma tee and a Puma cap, he admitted that he couldn’t decide which pair to pick. “They are all so good. Puma is the best,” he smiled, pointing at his T-shirt.

The men’s range is priced at Rs 3,999 and women’s at Rs 3,499. And if this is beyond your reach, do still check out the video of the commercial at the Puma website. The use of New Shoes marks one of the first major deals by newly-formed Warner Music UK’s brand partnerships division’s that matches artists with third-party licensing and endorsement.
