Jaipur: A century stand between Man-of-the-Match Yusuf Pathan and Graeme Smith helped Rajasthan Royals notch up a convincing eight wicket victory over Deccan Chargers in the Indian Premier League (IPL) match on Friday night.

Chasing 141 to win Shane Warne’s boys achieved the target with two overs to spare. Earlier, Deccan Chargers failed to capitalise on Adam Gilchrist’s useful knock and managed 140 for eight after being put in to bat by skipper Warne.

Royals’ sixth victory in eight games saw them move to the top of the Indian Premier League table with 12 points. They are two points clear of second-placed Kings XI Punjab and third-placed Chennai Super Kings. Both teams have 10 points
