Milan: Shiv Kapur sizzled with a flawless seven-under 65 that propelled him to the tied 13th spot after the halfway stage of the European Tour’s Italian Open at the Castello di Tolcinasco Golf and County Club here.

Kapur, was tied 53rd overnight, sank in seven birdies —five of them in the back nine — to chalk up a two-round total of nine-under 135.

In the Beijing Open, Digvijay Singh and Rahil Gangjee stuttered to over-par cards which saw only eight golfers return sub-par scores, and were tied for the 46th spot after the penultimate round here on Saturday.
