Bhajji may benefit: Warne

Jaipur: Australian leg-spinner Shane Warne Saturday refused to react on Ricky Ponting’s remarks on Harbhajan Singh and instead said the recent slapgate controversy involving the off-spinner and Sreesanth could help Harbhajan in his career.

“I can’t believe every thing which is read. What has happened is good in a sense. Harbhajan has realised he has done wrong, he is embarrassed. It was good that he admitted straight away that he done some thing wrong.

“The ups and down come in every players’ life. It may bring a turn around for him…mistakes make learn few things,” said Warne who himself had been in thick of many a controversies during his illustrious career.

Ponting was quoted as saying in the Australian media that Harbhajan was unmasked by the slapgate controversy.

Regarding his dream of having a spin academy on the lines of MRF Pace Academy, Warne said he loves the idea of sharing his knowledge with youngsters. (PTI)
