TELL ME WHY

Why do people draw stars with five points? There is no theory to explain this but there are several common beliefs. Throughout history, stars have been represented in many ways. The five-point star is more common, but four, six, seven and eight-point stars are also used. The five-point star may have originated from the way the Egyptians represented the star in hieroglyphics. In fact, sometimes a bright star does appear to have lines coming out from it. These appear because of the way the light enters your eye which is a small circular hole.
