Manoj Tiwary hopes to carry form

Calcutta: Bengal batsman Manoj Tiwary hopes he can carry his current form in to the next stage of the Ranji Trophy.

The 23-year old right-hander, who regained his form with a century, appeared contented while speaking to reporters after close of second day’s play at the Eden.

“Yeah, I am happy… The confidence for a good innings was always there but I was missing the touch… Now it’s in my grasp. I hope to carry this on,” Manoj, who scored his sixth Ranji Trophy century said.

Talking about his feelings when he had been out of form, the sturdy Bengal batsman said: “I was upset after I failed to achieve my targets… But I was trying… I worked hard and was knocking the ball well in the nets and knew that the form will surely be back soon,” he said.
