Kathmandu, Dec. 3: China today pledged Rs120 crores to Nepal to help the Himalayan nation strengthen its security infrastructure and train its armed forces.
However, Nepal foreign minister Upendra Yadav refused to comment when asked whether China had agreed to provide arms and ammunition. The two sides will work out the details,he said. Chinese foreign minister Yang Jiechi and Yadav also signed the Agreement on Economic and Technical Cooperation in Kathmandu today.
Yang formally invited Yadav and Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, alias Prachanda, to Beijing next year, the minister said.
