Calendar released

The Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) released the district cricket calendar for the 2008-09 season on Wednesday. The dates and venues for all the seven tournaments to be held over five months are in the calendar.

Football meet

Dukhiram Majumdar Coaching Scheme defeated HM Football Academy 1-0 in the HM Winner Challenge Trophy at the latter’s home ground on Wednesday. Former India captain Chuni Goswami was present at the inauguration ceremony.
