New Delhi, Jan. 5 (PTI): The Election Commission today ordered that a criminal case be registered against M.K. Stalin, son of Tamil Nadu chief minister M. Karunanidhi, for allegedly distributing money to residents of Thirumangalam where a bypoll is scheduled for January 9.

Sources said poll authorities had been instructed to register a bribery case against Stalin, a state minister.

The authorities have also been told to issue a notice to the ruling DMK after TV channels showed video clippings allegedly showing Stalin distributing the money.
