Style is all about being comfortable. You need to carry off your clothes well and you should wear only what suits you.

My gym gear, jeans, sunglasses, perfume and shoes.

Your most extravagant buy?

I always wanted to own a Rolex watch and I bought one recently for Rs 75,000.

Favourite shopping destination

Bangkok, where you can buy funky and stylish clothes at reasonable prices.

You have a fetish for

I can’t resist a good-looking pair of shoes! I have 25 new pairs and keep adding to my collection all the time.

Raghavendra Rathore, Narendra Kumar and Rohit Bal are my favourite designers. Rathore’s clothes are regal, Narendra Kumar’s designs are funky and Bal’s cut and embroidery is exceptional.

Which character out of history would you like to dress as?

Hitler — he was smartly dressed and he flaunted his attitude.

Did you ever go through any wild fashion phase?

I pierced my eyebrows in two places and my ears in three places when I was in college.

Whose closet do you envy and why?

I like Amitabh Bachchan’s suits, the wardrobes of actors Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan as well as clothes worn by fashion designer Dev (of the designer duo Dev R Nil).

(As told to Nandini Guha)
